Let's be clear: KDK Cares is not a registered Aged Care Provider.

We specialise in supplying support workers to Aged Care Providers when they can't meet their clients' needs. This could be due to staff shortages from sickness, employee shortages, or simply because some providers prefer to use brokered services like ours.

We have over 30 staff members serving the Central Coast and Lake Macquarie areas, and more than 10 staff covering Port Macquarie, Kempsey, Nambucca, and Coffs Harbour.

If your service provider can't provide the services you need, consider asking them to use a brokered service such as KDK Cares.

Staff

The services we provide

  • Domestic Assistance;
    • Cleaning, general help around the house.
  • Social Support;
    • Lunch / cuppa, drive, social interaction.
  • Shopping;
    • Grocery shopping, errands.
  • Transport;
    • Doctor appointments, drop off and pick up for social commitments etc.
  • Meal Prep / Assist;
    • Help prepare multiple meals or encourage client to eat their meal.
  • Respite;
    • Stay with the client while the partner has a break.
  • Personal Care (CertIII and above);
    • Showering, dressing etc.
  • Yard Maintenance;
    • Gardening, lawns and hedging.
  • Handyman Services;
    • Maintenance and repairs, installation of disability aids etc.

For Support Recievers

  • We'll send the same person each visit.
    • You like things done your way, we get that. You don't want to have to train someone new on every visit and it can be hard letting someone new through the front door, you want to see the same friendly face each visit.
  • We'll be there at the same regular time on the same regular day.
    • Do you currently get a window of time when your support worker will arrive. Not with KDK Cares, if we say 10am we'll be there at 10am.
    • In the event that were are unable to make it due to illness or emergency, we'll call you to arange an alternative time or day to suite you.
  • We'll build a relationship with you.
    • You’re not just a number to us; you’re a unique individual with a lifetime of experiences. We’ll take the time to understand you, your preferences, and even your little quirks.
  • Training and compliance.
    • All our support workers receive regular training and have up to date police checks and first aid.
  • Welfare and record keeping.
    • Our support workers will complete a welfare check report after every service, detailing what happened during the service, any noticable health or safety issues and any requests. The report is then logged in our system and sent to the aged care provider.
  • We'll work with your service provider.
    • If your service provider is not listed below, that's OK. Don't hesitate to ask your service provider representative to contact KDK Cares.

For Aged Care Providers

  • We'll invoice you after each service.
    • Invoices are sent via email, we can even send a machine readable invoice for automated systems.
  • We'll give you access to our scheduling and client management system.
    • You can see what staff members are going to your clients and when. You can also access all invoices and welfare check reports for your clients at any time.
  • Our training and compliance records are always available to you.
    • We use HCA for our online training programs and have an automated compliance system to remind staff and management when records need to be updated.
  • We're covered for worker insurance and liability insurance.
    • We can give you copies of our certificates of currency for workers comp, public liability ($20 mil) and professional indemnity ($10 mil)
  • Dedicated schedulers.
    • We have 2 dedicated schedulers handling all service changes and updates. Our automated notification system will notify you whenever a service is added, removed or changed.
  • Professional dress.
    • All our staff wear polo shirts embroidered with our logo, they also wear a badge with our logo, their name and our office contact number.
  • We are not your competition.
    • We're not going to take your clients from you. Our business model is supporting the current aged care providers to enhance and strengthen their service offerings, not competing with them.
